Description:
1.
Delivers and picks up outgoing mail and supplies at outreach facilities, Cape Cod Hospital (CCH) and Falmouth Hospital (FH).
Pick up and distribute supplies at off Cape sites.
2.
Run business errands, bank deposits, postal runs and other applicable tasks.
3.
Pick up supplies and/or instruments at various outreach locations and delivers to CCH and FH for reprocessing.
4.
Deliver supplies, mail, instruments and any corresponding paperwork on a timely basis.
5.
Confirm deliveries using electronic tracking system.
6.
Maintain safety at all times when driving and working within CCH/FH and outreach facilities.
7.
Performs Material Specialist duties during downtime.
8.
Maintain and clean Central Distribution and dock areas during down time.
9.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and Infection Control standards.
Participates in educational programs, in-services and meetings as required.
Complies with policies regarding the wearing of department provided uniforms.
12.
Ability to work independently.
Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
High School graduate or GED.
1-3 years of courier, materials management or warehouse experience preferred.
Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
Acceptable driving record in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) criteria will be obtained as a precondition to begin employment.
Once fully implemented, successfully complete CCHC's Driver Safety Training Program at least once every two years.
Possesses basic computer/keyboarding skills necessary to run multiple Materials Management module routines and communicate efficiently via cell phone.
